Oklahoma Teen Fashion Model - Aliyah at the Gilcrease

As a teen model photographer in Oklahoma, I LOVE working with both established and new, aspiring models.  I recently had the opportunity to work with one of Oklahoma??™s best and brightest teen fashion models, Aliyah.

I met Aliyah when I signed up for a photography workshop in the Tulsa area.  Our schedules lined up in such a way that we were able to shoot a little extra outside of the workshop.  The opportunity to spend a little extra time working with Aliyah proved to be awesome.  Her experience in posing allowed us to work quickly and efficiently to capture dozens of incredibly fun images in a very short timeframe.  

Aliyah is a freshman at a Tulsa area high school.  She may be a teen model, but don??™t let her age fool you.  She already has 4 magazine covers on her resume and has been involved in a variety of other modeling jobs.  When she is not modeling, she is a member of a competitive cheer squad and a pitcher for her high school softball team.  Her drive and enthusiasm pushes her to excel in all of her activities not just modeling.

This shoot took place at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa.  For this shoot, she wore a ceramic corset that was custom designed by local Oklahoma artist Nicole Moan.  Nicole??™s ceramic corsets are very diverse and each a unique piece of art crafted into fashions. The designs can be sleek and elegant, or witty with pop culture references or even dark and intimidating.  Over the years, the corsets have become lighter and stronger and her visibility has grown gaining her entry into countless regional solo and group exhibitions, an appearance in New York City's Black and Blue Ball and making her the first person from the United States to be invited to participate in the Swatch Alternative Fashion Week in London.
