How to start preparing your wardrobe for college

Preparing your wardrobe for college may not be something you thought about; but once you see the size of your dorm closet you??™ll quickly realize it??™s a necessity. Not only is space limited, your lifestyle and change of pace might require a different set of needs in your wardrobe. Here are some things to consider when cleaning out your stuff and prepping for your new college experience.

Go through your stuff…

Get rid of anything that is ill-fitting, out of style, discolored, stained, over-worn and pilled, or simply just not your style anymore. This will make space for new clothes you love! College is a time you can reinvent yourself; so take this opportunity to redefine or refine your style.

Asses your needs…

After cleaning out your wardrobe, look at what you need to complete it. Is there a shirt you absolutely love but never have the right pants to pair with it? Make sure every article of clothing in your wardrobe has the ability to make a complete outfit.

Make sure you have basics…

This is essential for your fast-paced college lifestyle. Knowing that if you??™re running late to class you have a pair of jeans and a basic tee to throw on will make mornings stress-free!

Get your athleisure on point…

The athleisure trend was basically invented for college. Being cozy during long days of classes and studying is a must. You can be comfortable, fashionable and ready for the gym all in one great outfit! Supportive athletic shoes are also great for walking around campus.

Decide what??™s going with you...

   If you??™re moving into a dorm, you may want to sort your clothes by season to save space in your closet. You can always slowly transition when you go home      for breaks!
